I found that the ues of a shallow depth of field led my eyes to the footprint, the footprints replicate in many ways the idea of leading lines and then draws the eyes to the cityscape in the background. The positioning of the city in the image also applys the rule of thirds which is another of the basics of composition. I feel that the strong neautral tones convey feeling stuck in a mundane world and the footprints can be seen to represent a search for meaning. Overall, it is a very well composed image which both draws the viewer in and allows them to take from it what they want
First, I must say, when I first saw this I was immediately drawn into the picture view of the city. I'm not really much of a city girl, but the view from which you captured it was very pretty. When I glanced at it, I first noticed the city was a bit blurry, but then I realized that it wasn't the main focus. The main focus was the footprints leading toward the city. Knowing that, I looked at the picture from a whole new perspective and was immediately drawn into the fine detail of the sand. You can see almost every grain of sand at the beginning and you can see the footprints as they fade towards the city. It truly is a very stunning photograph and only a very talented photographer would think of something this unique as well as be able to capture the natural beauty of it. Great job!
you must've gotta up reeeeeeeeeal early if you took this recently.... been skating on the Lakefront Path the last few days and that beach has been PACKED lol
